The Commander of the Lord’s Army

13When Joshua was by Jericho, he lifted up his eyes and looked, and behold, aa man was standing before him bwith his drawn sword in his hand. And Joshua went to him and said to him, “Are you for us, or for our adversaries?”

and your garments like his mwho treads in the winepress?
3 n“I have trodden the winepress alone,
oand from the peoples no one was with me;
I trod them in my anger
and trampled them in my wrath;
their lifeblood
Or  their juice; also verse 6
spattered on my garments,
and stained all my apparel.
4 qFor the day of vengeance was in my heart,
and my year of redemption
Or the year of my redeemed
had come.

Zechariah 13:7

The Shepherd Struck

7 Awake, O sword, against smy shepherd,
against the man who stands next to me,”

declares the Lord of hosts.
tStrike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered;
I will turn my hand against the little ones.
